After listening to his brother's band practice in the basement for years, Josh Masters decided to pick-up the guitar at the age of thirteen. Although inspired initially by the classics of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, he always found himself attracted to the acoustic guitar. He began learning all he could from those groups.
Soon enough, he would start expanding his taste. He began reading about Jimmy Page's influences and learned about Bert Jansch. When he first heard the song "Anji", he knew he had to learn it. After spending weeks and months practicing it, he began to grow more curious about the acoustic guitar and its possibilities.
One day he typed in "fingerstyle acoustic guitar" into YouTube to find similar music to that of which he just learned. The first video he came across was a song called "Angelina" by a guitarist named Tommy Emmanuel. His life changed. From that moment on, he would devout countless hours honing his fingerstyle skills...
